Lance Alan Hixon, age 40, of Harrisburg, Pa., passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at the UPMC in Harrisburg.
Born November 16, 1979, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of Melody L. (Carl) Hixon, of Warfordsburg, Pa., and the late Curtis Wayne Hixon, who died in 2004.
He was a graduate of Southern Fulton High School, in Warfordsburg, Pa., and was employed as a contractor for T. J.’s Shingles in Harrisburg. He enjoyed working on automobiles, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Jasmyne Woodal, of Waterfall, Pa., and Tenacious Ray, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; two sons, Derrick A. Hixon, and Devin A. Hixon, both of Warfordsburg; one brother, Justin A. Hixon, of Clearville, Pa.; and his paternal grandmother, Betty J. (Moats) Hixon, of Warfordsburg, Pa.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Dale Hixon, who died in 2016; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy H. Mellott, who died in 2002; and maternal grandfather, George E. Carl, who died in 1992.
Due to the coronavirus, services and burial will be private, on Friday, May 15, 2020, in the Buck Valley Christian Cemetery, with Rev. William Swope officiating.
