Allan Pittman

Needmore, Pennsylvania

Allan C. Pittman, age 57, of Needmore, died Monday, August 13, 2012, at the Fulton County Medical Center, in McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born December 27, 1954, in McConnellsburg, he was the son of the late Carl R. and Geneva I. Golden Pittman, and the husband of Rita K. Whisner Pittman, whom he married December 30, 1973, at Tonoloway Bible Church.

He was a 1972 graduate of Southern Fulton High School, and was a leader in the Tonoloway Bible Church.

He was an assembler for JLG Industries in McConnellsburg, and was owner of A & R Photography.

He enjoyed music and photography.

Besides his wife; he is survived by one daughter, Anita K. Stephens, of Crystal Spring, Pa.; one son, Brian A. Pittman, of Needmore; one sister, Phyllis Farris, of Needmore; two brothers, James Pittman, of Needmore, and William Pittman, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; and five grandchildren, Geneva and Evelyn Stephens, Issac, Kaiden and Trinity Pittman.

A service will be held on Friday, August 17, at 11:00 a.m., at the Needmore Bible Church, 6939 Great Cove Road, Needmore, Pa. Rev. Lowell Bard will officiate. Burial will be in the Warfordsburg Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Thursday, from 10 to 12 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon Society, P.O. Box 5, Hagerstown, Md. 21741.
