Allen Eugene Wigfield

Allen Eugene Wigfield, 80, of Warfordsburg, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at his home in Warfordsburg.

Born Monday, December 13, 1943, in Roaring Springs, PA, he was the son of the late Amos and Laura (Winck) Wigfield of Artemas, PA.

Allen was a retired machine operator at Rayloc, Hancock, MD.  Prior to that he was a drywall finisher for Foremost Homes, Greencastle, PA.

He was a member of Farview Christian Church in Artemas, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers and ten sisters.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Janet Faye (Clingerman) Wigfield; two sons, William Eugene Wigfield and wife Sherry, Dean Allen Wigfield, and significant other Janet Steiner; four grandchildren, Jessica Joann Crouse and husband Levi, Ashley Nichole Francis and husband John, Karissa Ann Cochran and husband Brandon, Lee Allen Wigfield; five great grandchildren, Bryson, and Archer Crouse, Cole and Jack Francis, and Waylon Cochran.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, MD and 10:00am on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Jerusalem Christian Church, 269 Church Road, Warfordsburg, PA 17267.  Funeral service will follow Tuesday at 11:00am at the church.  Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery, Pastors Milton Morris and Daryl Trail Jr. will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Allen’s name can be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital 4301 Fairfax Drive suite 200, Arlington, VA 22203 or SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive Chambersburg, PA 17202.
