Amanda S. Willey, age 30, of Needmore, Pa., died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, Md.
Born October 22, 1980, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of James W. and Vicki L. Myers Willey, of Needmore, Pa.
She was a 1998 graduate of Southern Fulton High School, Warfordsburg, Pa., and was employed, as manager, for the V.F.W. in Breezwood, Pa.
Besides her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Lexus McCloskey, at home; one sister, Holly Burch and husband, Nick, of Needmore, Pa.; two brothers, James C. Willey, of McConnellsburg, Pa., and Kevin J. Willey and wife, Heather, of Needmore, Pa.; maternal grandmother, Lora Myers, of Needmore, Pa.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Lee Myers; and paternal grandparents, Ben and Stella Willey.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the Pleasant Grove Christian Church, Warfordsburg, Pa. The Rev. Denver A. Plessinger will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, Md., and at the Church on Thursday, from 10 to 11 a.m. For the convenience of friends and family, the Funeral Home will be open from 2 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tower Bank, Great Cove Road, Needmore, Pa., 17238, in trust for her daughter, Lexus McCloskey.
