Anna Elizabeth Mason, age 91, formerly of Hancock, and more recently at Charlotte's Home near Boonsboro, Md., passed away at Charlotte's Home on Thursday, August 27, 2015.

She was born on October 8, 1923, in Hancock, the daughter of the late James William and Orintha Hanna Exline Mason.

She was a 1941 graduate of Hancock High School, and Hagerstown Business College.

She worked as an executive secretary for M.P. Moller Organ Company, in Hagerstown, Md., for 43 years, retiring in 1985.

She was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church, in Hancock. She was a past Grand Regent of Catholic Daughters, and a founding member of the current Ladies' Group.

She is survived by six nieces and three nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Emily M. Leatherman; and three brothers, William T. Mason, Lynn Randolph Mason, and Francis M. Mason.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 16 East High Street, Hancock, Md. Celebrants will be Rev. John J. Lombardi, and nephew, Deacon James L. Mason. Burial will follow in the adjoining Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, on Monday, August 31, 2015, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to St. Peter Church Hall, Classroom Renovation Project, 16 High Street, Hancock, Md. 21750, or to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. 21742.
