Audrey Carson

GARLAND, Texas---Audrey Alda Carson, age 73, of Garland, Tx., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 15, 2011.

Born January 8, 1938, in Crystal Springs, Pa.she was the daughter of the late Solomon and Maye Hixon Fink.

She attended Southern Fulton High School, Warfordsburg, Pa.
She was an active member of Redeemer Bible Church in Garland, and a volunteer for Baylor Hospital for 32 years.

She is survived by her husband, George Carson; three sons, Randy Carson, of Henderson, Tx., Daniel Carson, of Garland, Tx., and Rodney Carson, of Sachse, Tx; one brother, Harold Fink and wife, Barbara, of Breezewood, Pa.; five sisters, Dorothy Heeter, of Fritch, Tx., Larue Witmer, of Sharpsburg, Md., and Ruby Calhoun and husband, Albert, of Breezwood, Pa., Velma Carson and husband, Lee, of Tyler, Tx., and Mary Edna Ramsey and husband, Leo, of Breezwood, Pa.; six grandchildren, Zach Carson, of Royse City, Tx., Jordan Carson, of Orlando, Fl., Colt Carson, of Rockwall, Tx.,  Ashley Cunningham, of Muskegon, Mi., and Laryn and Nyomi Carson, of Sachse, Tx.; three great-grandchildren, Rylie and Killian Cunningham, of Muskegon, Mi., and Emma Carson, of Orlando, Fl.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 17th  at Redeemer Bible Church in Garland, TX.

A service will be held Wednesday, April 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Amaranth Church of
the Brethren, Amaranth, Pa.  The Rev. Freeman Snair will officiate.  Burial will
be in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md., on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8.p.m.  For the convenience of family and friends, the funeral home will be open from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice.
