Bernard Stanley Santor, age 75, of Deneen Road, died Wednesday April 7, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital Hagerstown, MD.
Born in Orwigsburg, PA., he was the son of the late Stanley and Eva Althea Peifley Santor.
He was a 1952 graduate of Orwigsburg High School, a graduate of Kutztown State College, and attended Notre Dame.
He was retired from the former Home Federal Bank in Hancock, MD. as Vice President.
He was a member of the Hancock Lions Club.
He was active in the Hancock Little League; a member and treasurer of the Hancock Republican Club.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, where he was a corporator.
He was formerly active in, and past president of the PTA.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Divel Santor, who he married October 28, 1962 in Baltimore, MD.; two daughters, Lisa Santor of Hagerstown, MD., Jann Santor Hewett and husband, Shannon, of Hancock, MD.; one son, Todd Santor and wife, Danette, of Hancock, MD.; four grandchildren, Rachel Haines, Samuel Haines, Karragan Hewett and Koleman Hewett; also a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father-in-law Russell Divel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church at 11:00a.m. Saturday, April 10. Rev. John Lombardi will be celebrant. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 16 East High Street, Hancock, MD.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 16 East High Street, Hancock, MD. 21750
There will be a gathering of family and friends following the Mass at St. Peter's Catholic Church Hall, Hancock, MD.
