Billy Joe Knable, Sr., age 48, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.
Born May 5, 1967, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Joe V. and Rose M. Weller Knable, and husband of Tracey (Fetters) Knable, of Hancock.
He was a member of Orchard Ridge First Church of God, in Hancock, and a member of the UAW Local 171, in Hagerstown, Md.
He was employed by Volvo Powertrain, in Hagerstown.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Forsythe, of Hagerstown, and Madison Knable, of Hancock; two sons, Billy Joe Knable, Jr., of Hagerstown, and Robert Knable, of Hancock; one sister, Debra Cunningham, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; one brother, Vernon Knable, of Hancock; one granddaughter, Gabriella Knable; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., at the Hancock United Methodist Church, 168 West Main Street, Hancock. Rev. Michael Bynum will officiate. A meal will follow the service.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions, in his name, may be made to the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. 21750, to help defray expenses. Floral donations would also be welcomed.
