Brion Michael Mongan, age 47, of Mercersburg, died on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Pinnacle Health, in Harrisburg, Pa.

Born May 30, 1966, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of Ralph Smith and Judy Cave Mongan, of Hagerstown, Md.

He was a graduate of North High School, in Hagerstown, Md.

He was employed by the Tractor Supply Warehouse, in Hagerstown, and he had been previously employed by Garden State Tanning, in Williamsport, Md.

Besides his parents, he is also survived by his wife, Carol A. Mason Mongan, whom he married on February 14, 1991, at Damascus Christian Church, in Big Cove Tannery, Pa.; one son, Brandon Michael Mongan; and one step-son, Lewis Mason, both of Hagerstown; twin sisters, Tammy and Tara Mongan, of Hagerstown; 3 grandchildren, Brighton Mongan, Jonathan and Gage Mason, all of Hagerstown; two nieces; and one nephew.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at the Orchard Ridge First Church of God, 13642 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, Md. Rev. Jeffrey Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105.

The Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. is in charge of the arrangements.
