Caundell Jane Ward, age 82, of Thompson Road, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Pennknoll Village in Everett, Pa.

Born January 14, 1928, in Fulton County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Alverta Miller Deneen and the widow of Claude L. Ward, who died January 9, 2000.

She had been employed as a seamstress with Londontown Manufacturing, Hancock, Md. and Sagner, Inc., in McConnellsburg, Pa.

She was a member of the Needmore Bible Church and had been a member of the Hancock Assembly of God.

She is survived by one son, Gary C. Ward, of Needmore, Pa.; four sisters, Oleta Stanley, of Warfordsburg, Pa., Velma Doran, of Mooresville, Pa., Cindy Hickley, of Emmitsburg, Md., Gloria Riggleman, of Winchester, Va.; two brothers, James Deneen, of Greencastle, Pa., and Alfred Deneen, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; one granddaughter, Holly Ward.

She was preceded in death by one son, Kevin T. Ward, in 1995, two brothers, Milton Deneen, Glenn Deneen and one infant brother, Eldon Deneen.

A service will be held Tuesday, December 14, at 11:00 a.m., at the Needmore Bible Church. Rev. Doug Poffenberger will officiate. Burial will be in the Buck Valley Memorial Cemetery, Warfordsburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends Monday at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md. from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the Church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.

For the convenience of family and friends, the Funeral Home will be open 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday.
