Charles H. “Chuck” Kave, Jr., age 49, of Warfordsburg, died on Sunday, November 13, 2016, in Warfordsburg.
Born Saturday, June 3, 1967, he was the son of Polly A. (Ward) Mills, of Warfordsburg, and the late Charles H. Kave, Sr.
He was a 1986 graduate of Southern Fulton High School.
He was a forklift operator at World Kitchens, in Greencastle, Pa. and owned and operated Kave's Landscaping, in Warfordsburg, Pa.
He attended Bethel Community Church, in Warfordsburg.
He was a member of the Owl’s Club, in Hagerstown, Md.; the Fulton County Sportsman’s League, in McConnellsburg, Pa.; the Mason-Dixon Beagle Club, in Mercersburg, Pa.; a member of, and past commander and past district commander of, The Sons of the American Legion Post 26, in Hancock, Md.; and a life-member of the Needmore Volunteer Fire Company, in Needmore, Pa.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his grandmother, Polly Ward, of Warfordsburg; a sister, Heather Swope, of Needmore, Pa.; a brother, Atlee Youngblood, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; four nephews; and three nieces.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert W. Ward, and one niece, Amanda Youngblood.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, Md., from 2:00 until 4:00 and 6:00 until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor William Swope will officiate. Burial will follow in the Piney Plains United Methodist Cemetery, Little Orleans, Md.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. 21750 to help with final expenses.
