Charlotte Jean Kerns, age 69, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Doey’s House, in Hagerstown, Md.

Born April 28, 1950, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Millard F. and Eleanor (Dawson) McCusker; and the widow of David Neil Kerns, whom she married April 2, 1968 and who passed away on December 25, 2013.

She was a homemaker, a loving mother, and grandmother.

She was a 40-year member of the Webster B. Harrison Post 26 Ladies Auxiliary, in Hancock.

She is survived by two daughters, Brandi Jean Black and her husband, Justin, and Diana Fay Stevens and her husband, Mark, both of Hagerstown, Md.; one son, David Joshua Kerns, of Waynesboro, Pa.; six grand-children, Lauren, Clinton, Luke, Tiffany, Sabrina and Mark; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank McCusker, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; and two sisters, Hazel Waugh, and Brenda Timmons, both of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Selph.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, 14253 Exline Road, Hancock, with Rev. Philip Unger officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the church, from 11:00 a.m. until time for the services to begin.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, at the above address, or to Doey’s House Hospice, 747 Northern Ave, Hagerstown, Md. 21742.
