Daniel Charles Holdnack

Daniel Charles Holdnack, age 80, of Hagerstown, MD., passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Sterling Care South Mountain Nursing Home in Boonsboro, MD.

Born July 27,1943, in Erie, PA., he was the son of the late John and Anna Wojciechkowska Holdnack.

Daniel served in the United States Navy for two years active duty and three years reserves.  

He was a graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School of Erie, PA.  He was a computer programmer for General Electric working in Erie, PA and Ronoake, VA.  retiring in 1998.  

Daniel enjoyed boating and golfing.  He was an avid reader and coached youth hockey for many years.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Marilyn Miller; son, Daniel J. Holdnack; and two sisters, Dorothy Pasky and Irene Kruise.

Daniel is survived by one son, James and Christina Holdnack of Hancock, MD.; five grandchildren, Eleanor Pometto, Kylie Ryan, Drew Holdnack, Julia Macchio, and Adam Holdnack; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Daniel will be greatly missed by his loving family.
