Danielle Genette Yost, age 28, of Hancock, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Warfordsburg, Pa.
Born February 20, 1986, she was the loving daughter of Greg and Mary Ann (Corbett) Yost; the granddaughter of Ronald and Faye (Shoemaker) Corbett, and Laura (Shaw) Creek.
She was a 2004 graduate of Hancock High School, and attended Allegheny Community College.
Danielle had a passion for drawing and loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a special love for children, and loved to make them smile, especially Parker, Gage, Carson and Molly.
Besides her parents and grandparents, she is survived by two brothers, Dustin G. Yost and fiancée, Mariah Urias, of Martinsburg, W. Va., and Derek G. Yost, of Arlington, Va.; one uncle, Gary Scriever and wife, Kay, of Duncansville, Pa.; two aunts, Patty Ward and husband, Kevin, of Hancock, and Teresa Appel and husband, Jamie, of Boonsboro, Md.; 3 nephews, Parker Urias, Gage and Carson Morris; a goddaughter, Molly Dixon; 6 cousins, Jamie and Ryan Appel, Tara Dunio, Kyle, Karlie and Kody Ward; and the love of her life, Will Whiteside.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Yost and Millard H. Creek; and great-grandparents, Mary and Cleveland Shoemaker, Lee and Beulah Sullivan, and Lucille Shaw.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, at 10:00 a.m., at the Whips Cove Church, 5044 Moss Road, Warfordsburg, Pa. Rev. Gene Harding will officiate.
