Darwin Thomas Mills, Jr., age 51, of Hancock, Md., died on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at the War Memorial Hospital, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born August 10, 1964, in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of Darwin T. Mills, Sr., and Carol (Reed) Sanchuck, of Warfordsburg, Pa.

He was a 1982 graduate of Hancock High School.

He was a former member of the Hancock J.C.’s; and the Hancock Volunteer Fire Co. He was a member of the Webster B. Harrison Post 26 Sons of the American Legion, in Hancock.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Ethel (Clark) Mills; his step-father, George Sanchuck; and children, Joshua Mills, and Ashley Mills, both of Fort Ashby, W.Va.; step-children, Sheila Weller, and Kevin Clark, both of Warfordsburg, Pa., Katrina Edwards, of Clearville, Pa., Michele Tiffany, and Angela Funt, both of Greencastle, Pa,: one sister, Kathy Vanorsdale; and one brother, William Mills, both of Hancock; two grandchildren; and fourteen step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 1, 2016, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock. A memorial service will be held there at 6:00 p.m. Rev. William Swope will officiate.
