Denver Lee Weller, age 57, of Hancock, died Sunday, November 3, 2013, at his home.

Born September 29, 1956, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clyde Leroy and Velma Elizabeth McCormick Weller.

He was employed as a pipe layer by C. William Hetzer, Inc., in Hagerstown, Md.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. He enjoyed hunting, being with his family, shooting deer, and drinking beer.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Louise VanDaniker Weller, whom he married on June 25, 2004, in Hagerstown, Md.; one step-daughter, Katie M. VanDaniker, of Hancock; three sisters, Brenda Hixon, of Front Royal, Va., Melissa Unger, of Hancock, and Wendy Hoover, of Hustontown, Pa.; three brothers, Tony Weller, Tracy Weller, and Darrin Weller, all of Hancock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Leroy Weller, Jr.

A service will be held on Thursday, November 7, at 11:00 a.m., at Orchard Ridge First Church of God, in Hancock. The Rev. Jeff Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 9 to 11:00 a.m., at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to help defray the funeral expenses, may be made in his name, to the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. 21750.

Arrangements were handled by the Grove Funeral Home.
