Destiny Jean Knable, age 15 years, of Pleasant Grove Road, died Monday, September 27, 2010 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Warfordsburg, Pa.
Born November 17, 1994 in McConnellsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Steven E. and Ronda Wills Knable of Warfordsburg, Pa.
She was a sophomore at Southern Fulton High School, Warfordsburg, Pa.
She was a Vo-Tech student, studying to be a Nursing Assistant.
She was a Junior Member of the Needmore Volunteer Fire Company.
Besides her parents, she is survived by one sister, Amber D. Knable, at home; brother, Nicky Strait, at home; maternal grandparents, Naomi Exline Wills and Ronald Wills; paternal grandparents, Doris Harr and Charles K. Knable; maternal uncles, Willy W. Wills, of Great Cacapon, WV., Ronnie W. Wills, of Hedgesville, WV.; paternal aunt, Melisia J. Lynch, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; paternal uncles, Charles K. Knable, II, of Merritt Island, Fl. and James W. Knable, of Berkeley Springs, WV.
A funeral service will be held Friday October, 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Needmore Bible Church, 6939 Great Cove Road, Needmore, Pa. Rev. Doug Poffenberger will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Christian Cemetery, 3013 Pleasant Grove Road, Warfordsburg, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the Church Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Arrangements were handled by the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that, in memory of Matthew, contributions may be made to the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St. Hancock, Md. 21750-0368.
