Dixie Sue Bishop

Dixie Sue Bishop, 62, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at her home in Needmore, PA.

Born October 18, 1960, in Berkeley Springs, WV., she was the daughter of late Ray and Sylvia Mellott Wertz and the wife of Lloyd C. "Seymour" Bishop, Jr., whom she married on September 28, 2008.

She is a member of Sideling Hill Christian Church in Needmore, PA.

She was a member of Fulton County Lodge #519 O.E.S, McConnellsburg, PA.

She was employed as a Supervisor of Housekeeping and Laundry at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Bucky J. Pirtle, Jr., MI; a daughter, Mandy J. Szarenski, and husband, Mike, Newville, MI; two granddaughters, Jayden and Brooklyn Szarenski, Newville, MI; a brother, Marlin G. Wertz, and wife Daisy, Needmore, PA.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Per Dixie’s wishes, there will be a private service held at a later date.
