Donald E. Myers

Donald E. Myers, 90, of Needmore, PA passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD.

Born Sunday, February 18, 1934, in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Floyd and Gladys Golden Myers. 

Donald served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1972 in Vietnam and Korea.

He attended Southern Fulton School. He worked for the United States Postal Service for over ten years as a maintenance supervisor. 

Donald was a long-time member of EAA and AOPA where he served as a volunteer. His hobbies also included building and flying airplanes through volunteer programs and introducing youths to aviation.

He is survived by his wife Faye Hardin of Needmore, PA; one daughter, Norma Jean Hohman and husband George of Needmore, PA; one grandson, Michael Hohman and wife Frances of Bunker Hill, WV; one great-grandson, Max Hohman of Bunker Hill, WV; two brothers, Frank Myers of State Line, PA, and Jack Myers of Berkeley Spring, WV.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his first wife, Shirley Myers and three brothers, Ray Myers, Robert Myers, and Lee (Pat) Myers.

Services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 1:00pm at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, MD 21750. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Russell Hoffman will officiate. Burial will follow at the Antioch Christian Cemetery, 7902 Timber Ridge Road, Big Cove Tannery, PA 17212.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Donald’s name can be made to the Tri-State Honor Guard, 527 N. Washington Street, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411.
