Doris Marlene Shives, age 58, of Hancock, died Friday, November 12, 2010, at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown , Md.

Born April 18, 1952, in Berkeley Springs , W.Va. , she was the daughter of the late William Deb and Mary Bishop Clingerman.

She was employed with AC&T in Hancock , Md., as a cook.

She was a member of the Webster B. Harrison Post 26 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Faith Assembly of God Church, Warfordsburg, Pa.

She is survived by her husband, Paul D. Shives, whom she married March 12, 1971, in Hagerstown, Md.; two daughters, Paula Wertz of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Britnie Shields of Cumberland, Md.; two sisters, Pamela Shives and Janet Wigfield, both of Warfordsburg, Pa.; three grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon and Kayla.

She was preceded in death by one son, David Scott Shives, and one daughter, Melissa Ann Butterbaugh.

A service will be held Wednesday, November 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God Church, Warfordsburg, Pa. Rev. Delmas Bard will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Christian Cemetery .

The family will receive friends Tuesday, at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock , Md. from 2 to 4 and  6 to 8 p.m.
