Dorothy Mae Turner, age 76, of Warfordsburg, died on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at the Berkeley Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born April 16, 1938, in Fulton County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Andy H. and C. F. Beatrice Engle Schriever.
She was a homemaker and dedicated mother. She also worked several secretarial jobs, and retired from CitiCorp in 2001.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Hancock, Md. Ward.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill" O. Turner, whom she married July 3, 1971; two daughters, Deborah Mae Roebuck, of Hagerstown, Md., and Natalie Marie Frankenberry, of New Paris, Pa.; two sons, David Mark Russell Roebuck, of West Jordan, Ut., and Shawn Michael Turner, of College Station, Tx.; two sisters, Ruth Oakman, of Warfordsburg, and Nancy Hiatt, of Brighton, Co.; one brother, Ralph Schriever, of Warfordsburg; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Hill and June Bohlman; and one brother, Levearl Schriever.
A service will be held on Thursday, August 7, at 11:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 200 Douglas Street, Hancock, Md. Bishop Mika Ah Loe will officiate. Burial will be at the Jerusalem Christian Cemetery, Whips Cove, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the L.D.S. Church on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Arrangements were handled by the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md.
