Edward W. “Eddie” Harper, age 53, of Needmore, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Fulton County Medical Center, in McConnellsburg, Pa.
Born March 23, 1959, in Olney, Md., he was the son of Donald J. and Mary F. Blackburn Harper, of Hancock.
He was a member of the Needmore Bible Church, in Needmore, Pa., and he was employed by Douglas Motors, in Hancock, as a Warranty Administrator.
He was a 1977 graduate of Hancock High School.
He enjoyed riding his Softtail Harley and ATV’s, and being with his family and friends. He loved life.
Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, Richard Harper, of Needmore, Pa.; two sisters, Mary K. Howard and husband, Nick, of Hancock, Md., and Donna E. Harper, of Hagerstown, Md.; nephews, Brandon Howard, Michael Orndorff, and Ryan Harper; and nieces, Amanda Howard, Laurie Hurd, and Ashley Harper.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the Needmore Bible Church, 6939 Great Cove Road, Needmore, Pa. Rev. Doug Poffenberger will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8, at the Church.
