Filomena Garcia Sevilla, age 98, of Hancock, Md., passed away on September 15, 2020, at the War Memorial Hospital, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born July 5, 1922, in Loon, in the province of Bohol, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Nicolas and Gregoria (Marimon) Garnica; and the widow of Lino Calatrava Sevilla, who died on January 15, 1999.
She was a homemaker; and a member of the Catalpa United Methodist Church, in Hancock.
She is survived by three daughters, Milagros S. Diano, and Ruby S. Cerna, both in the Philippines, and Lee S. Corbett, of Hancock; three sons, William G. Sevilla, Jessie G. Sevilla, and Joseph G. Sevilla, all in the Philippines; twenty-six grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Joseph Corbett and Paquito Diano; a sister, Sulpicia Calmelotes; and two brothers, Rufino Garnica and Teodoro Garnica
A Memorial service will be held at the convenience of her family. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, MD 21750
