Gerald Leroy Trovinger, Sr., age 81, of Little Orleans, Md., passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at his home.
Born November 21, 1938, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son the late Benton L. Trovinger, Sr. and Edith E. (Baker) Trovinger; and the husband of Della L. (Baker) Trovinger. They were married for fifty-four years.
He was a member of the Piney Plains United Methodist Church, in Little Orleans, Md.
He served in the US Navy; and was retired from his employment as a painter for the State of Maryland.
He was member of the NRA; a former member of the North American Rod and Gun Club; and was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Gerald L. Trovinger, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Baltimore, Md., Ronald (Clay) Trovinger and his wife, Bobbi Jo, of Little Orleans, Md., and William D. McCann and his wife, Jenny, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one daughter, Elizabeth L. Trovinger, of Baltimore; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Janet Folmer, of Hagerstown, Md.
In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by a daughter, Laura Lynn Kritsings; and two brothers, Benton Trovinger, Jr. and Ronald Trovinger.
Weather permitting, a Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., at the Piney Plains United Methodist Church, with Pastor Joshua Rider officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Piney Plains U.M. Church, 12708 Faith Circle NE, Little Orleans, Md. 21766
