Goldie Mae Collins, age 69, of Hagerstown, Md., and formerly of Needmore, Pa., passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at home surrounded by family and loved ones.
She was born July 26, 1943, in Needmore, Pa., to the late Robert and Mildred Carnell Stevens. She was the widow of the late Ernest Leon Collins.
She is survived by one brother, Robert Stevens, of Needmore; two sisters, Daisy Stelk, of Montgomery, Al., and Mary Mellott, of Baltimore, Md. She was the beloved mother of three daughters, Cindy Presgraves and husband, Kirk, of Hancock, Md., Kim Jackson and husband, Dion, and Crystal Feiser, of Hagerstown. She was a devoted and loving grandmother of Kirk Presgraves, Jr., Krystal Presgraves-Russo, Kyle Presgraves, Kristin Presgraves, Ashleigh Feiser, Meghan Feiser and Taylor Jackson; as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Goldie shared forty-one years of her life in a loving relationship with Donald L. Trumpower.
She worked from her home as a daycare provider.
She attended Lifehouse Church East, in Hagerstown, Md.
She enjoyed participating every year in the March of Dimes Walk-a-thons. Goldie was known for her love of the beach. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend Aunt Maxine Collins. Family, friends and neighbors remember Goldie as being thoughtful, caring and always had a smile for everyone.
A service will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 1:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. Pastor Patrick Grach will officiate. Burial will be in the Orchard Ridge First Church of God Cemetery, in Hancock.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
