The earth-bound soul of Guy Feuillet was carried to heaven by the angels in a reunion with The Father on March 23, 2022. His life began in Montlieu-la-Garde, France on November 17th, 1928. Completing school by age 12, he began work as a blacksmith’s helper until he successfully completed his apprenticeship and became a master blacksmith alongside his father in the family business.
In 1948, he met and married his life love and mother of his children, Theole (Boulin) Feuillet, of Montguyon, France. Along life’s way, they had many adventures. In 1953, they set sail for America, where they settled in Rockville, MD., to raise a family. In 1973, Guy became a proud American citizen and worked hard to give his family a new start in the states.
For almost 40 years, he worked as a sheet-metal mechanic, retiring in 1991. During that time, Guy and Theole moved into their dream home he built himself, in Purcel PA. Together they had four sons and a daughter. Sadly, in 1990, he lost Theole, his wife of 41 years.
In September of 1991, Guy met and married his adoring second wife, June (Cope) Feuillet, adding to the family many new and loved faces.
Guy was as strong in his faith as in his life, missing a few masses that could be counted on your fingers. Attending church, in Hancock, MD., was just one of the many ways he led by example.
Hunter, gardener, and master woodworker and metalworker were just a few of his hobbies. Pieces of his talented woodwork can be found all throughout the community.
His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought him many joys and much laughter - many memories that can never be taken away or forgotten.
He is survived by his five children, Jean Pierre, and wife, Donna, of Damascus, MD., Michel, and former wife, Nadine, of Tomahawk, WV,, Jacques, of Artemas, PA., and former wife, Lesa, of Everett, PA., Claude, of Parkville, MD., and Marie-Helene, and husband, Mike (former husband Don), of Artemas, PA.; two sisters, Lucille (Lulu) and Marie-France, and a brother, Jean-Louis, all residing in France; a sister-in-law, Margarita; and niece and nephew, Collette and Javier, of Silver Spring, MD.
He was a loving grandfather of 15, Erin, Alicia, Bree, Ian, Simon, Angelique, Emile, Daniel, Bernadette, Michelle, Theole, Nichole, Nathan, Garrett, Logan. A great-grandfather of 22, and counting, and beloved stepfather to Larry, the late Denise, Danny, and Eddie all of Annapolis, MD.
Guy was pre-deceased by his brother, Francois (Fanfan) and brother-in-law, Louis (of Silver Spring, MD.)
Friends are welcome to join the family at the viewing to be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, March 28, 2022, just preceding the funeral service at 11:00, at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, 12517 St. Patrick RD SE, Little Orleans, MD. Father Joseph Langan will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the American Cancer Society in Guy’s name.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St, Hancock, MD. Online condolences can be expressed to the family at www.grovefh.com.
