Harriet Yost

Harriet (Hedy) Lorraine Yost, 77, Berkeley Springs, WV., passes away Friday, December 16, 2022, at Stonerise Berkeley Springs, WV.

Born February 11, 1945, in Hancock, MD., she was the youngest child of the late William A. and Hazel R. (Munson) McCusker. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was a graduate of Hancock High School, Class of 1963.

She worked at Cacapon Lodge, Coolfont, Seely Furniture and retired from Caperton Furniture Works.

She was a member of Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, Hancock, MD.

She loved to shop and was an avid bingo player. She also liked to meet up with a group of friends at McDonald’s in Berkeley Springs for coffee and a snack.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Warren, Robert, Millard, Harry, Leroy and Henry; sisters Genevieve Plante, Madeline McCusker, Nellie McCusker, Fern Hart, Margaretta Joy and Lorna Thomas; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Lester Price.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A special thank you is extended to Stonerise Berkeley Springs for their care of Hedy for these last few months.

Services will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, 14253 Exline Road, Hancock, MD.
