Helen Marie Hinckle, age 90, of Hancock, died on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at her home.
Born November 9, 1924, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Henry Frank and Lillian Ivadean Hoffman Dorrier, and the widow of William Frederick Hinckle, Sr., who died February 13, 2010.
She and her late husband owned and operated Hinckle Motors, where she was the secretary, and she would ride with her husband in the tow truck. She was also a school bus driver.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3738 Resley Road, in Hancock.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Dean Howell, of Hancock; one son, William F. Hinckle, Jr. and his wife, Susan Jean, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one sister, Darce Barnard, of Hancock; a daughter-in-law, Diane Hinckle, of Hancock; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. Her grandsons, who will be serving as pallbearers, are Greg Howell, Kevin Howell, Kenneth Howell, Travis Hinckle, Bradley Hinckle and Dave Clingerman.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Franklin Hinckle, and Gerald Miffin Hinckle.
A service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3738 Resley Road, Hancock, Md. Rev. Wm. Kenneth Stottlemyer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
