Irvin Burton

Irvin John Burton, age 71, of Hancock, Md., passed away at his home on Thursday, May 2, 2019.

Born April 8, 1948, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles and Fannie (Price) Burton.

He was a member of the Price Wesleyan Church, in Little Orleans, Md.

He served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marines from 1965 through 1970.

He loved to fish, and he had a passion for NASCAR racing and Ford cars.

He is survived by two daughters, Angela C. King, of Paw Paw, W.Va., and Stacy M. Burton, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; one son, Michael J. Burton, of Warfordsburg; seven grandchildren; and three brothers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother.

A memorial service will be held at Price Wesleyan Church, 11555 Price Road N.E., Little Orleans, Md., on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Larry Trail will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock.
