Janet Bartholow

Warfordsburg, Pa.

Janet M. Bartholow, age 75, of Warfordsburg, loving mother of Sheri and Michael Bartholow, died on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at her home.

Born April 27, 1941, in Washington, DC., she was the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Hilda (Knop) MacMichael.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Hancock, Md.

She was retired from the Department of the Treasury, where she worked as a Budget Analyst.

In addition to her children, Sheri and Michael, she is also survived by a sister, Barbara MacMichael, of Beltsville, Md.; a brother, Ralph MacMichael, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; a grandson, Michael Bartholow, Jr.; 6 nieces and 3 nephews.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her long-time partner and best friend, Frederick G. Shinafelt.

A service will be held at the Parklawn Memorial Gardens, 12800 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, Md, at 10:30 a.m. on June 10, 2016. Pastor William Stottlemyer will officiate. Flowers will be accepted at the cemetery.
