Jebediah Barnhardt Williams, age 25, of Arvada, Colo., passed away at his residence, on Saturday, February 9, 2019.

Born February 12, 1993, in Hagerstown Md., he was the son of Carol J. Barnhardt, of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Roger K. Williams, of Everett, Pa.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Hannah O. Williams, and Emma L. Williams, both of Warfordsburg.

He loved to hunt, mountain climb, and ski.

He was a graduate of Southern Fulton High School with the class of 2011.

Jeb enlisted in the U.S Marine Corps upon his high school graduation, and served from 2011 until 2015, and completed two tours in Afghanistan. Corporal Jebediah B. Williams was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties, by serving as lead Husky mine detector vehicle operator of the Route Clearance Platoon 2, Route Clearance Co. 2D Combat Engineer Battalion, Marine Expeditionary Brigade, in Afghanistan, from June 11 to 13, 2014, for forty-two continuous hours, without exiting his vehicle for any significant length of time. Operating night and day, he cleared over 100 kilometers of terrain laden with improvised explosive devices. During the operation, vehicles moving outside of the cleared area were attacked by explosive devices. With little regard for his own personal safety, he led recovery assets in and out of each separate blast site, allowing for the safe recovery of three disabled vehicles and eleven marines.
