Jimmie Boyd, Sr.

Jimmie Winston “Grumpy” Boyd, Sr., age 72, of Warfordsburg, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at War Memorial Hospital, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born June 15, 1940, in Coretta, W.Va., he was the son of the late Jerry and Belva Stacy Boyd.

He was a 1958 graduate of Grundy High School, in Grundy, Va.

He was retired, as a body technician, from Dan’s Auto Body, in Frederick, Md.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie K. Baker Boyd, whom he married June 22, 1972, in Upper Marlboro, Md.; three daughters, Vicki Jones, of Hedgesville, W.Va., Angelia Taylor, of Inwood, W.Va., and Shelly Rollins, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; two sons, Jimmie Boyd, Jr., and Johnny Boyd, both of Warfordsburg; one half-brother, Eddie Rice, of Grundy, Va.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins.

A memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 30, at 3:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, Md. Rev. Ron Sagmuller will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
