Kenneth Hixon

Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania

Kenneth Ritz Hixon, age 81, of Warfordsburg, died on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at his home.

Born November 17, 1932, in Clyde, N.Y., he was the son of the late Clyde and Lily Ritz Hixon.

He was a 1950 graduate of Warfordsburg High School.

He was co-owner and operator of Ritz Brothers Store, in Buck Valley, Pa.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and he attended the Buck Valley Christian Church.

He was Fire Warden for Fulton County, and a member of the Gideon’s Society.

He is survived by one sister, Kathryn Robinette, of Baltimore, Md., and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Hixon and David Keith Hixon.

A service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at the Buck Valley Christian Church, 2281 Harmonia Road, Warfordsburg, Pa. Rev. Scott Gibbs and Rev. Richard Bernard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.
