Kenton Joseph Price, age 67, of Little Orleans, Md., passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Western Maryland Health Systems, in Cumberland, Md.

Born in Cumberland, Md., on June 16, 1951, he was the son of Dorothy E. (Leasure) Price, of Little Orleans, Md., and the late Joseph Wellington Price.

He was a 1972 graduate of Ft. Hill High School, in Cumberland.

He was an avid gardener and enjoyed assisting his father.

He loved his faithful companion, a German shepherd named Pepper.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother-in-law, Robert L. Shoemaker, of Hancock, Md.; a niece, Robin L. Carbaugh and her husband, Scott, of Hancock; a great-niece, Sidney E. Weller, of Hancock; another great niece, Brianna C. Clanton, of Williamsport, Md.; a great-nephew, Brandon S. Carbaugh, of Falling Waters, W.Va.; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elton Louise Shoemaker.

Services will be held at the Hancock Presbyterian Church, 17 East Main Street, Hancock, on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at 12:00 noon. Pastor Terry Martin-Minnich will officiate. Burial will follow at Piney Plains United Methodist Cemetery, in Little Orleans, Md.

The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the services on Thursday.
