Larry G. Rutherford, age 76, of Hancock, died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at his home.
Born January 31, 1935, in Coalswood, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles Howard and Martha Irene Phipps Rutherford, and widower of Mildred E. Wagg Rutherford.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a retired, heavy equipment operator, working out of I.U.E. Local 37 Baltimore, Md.
He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Turner, of Hancock, Md., Karen Pittman, of Hagerstown, Md., and Deb Ebersole, of Big Cove Tannery, Pa.; two sisters, Margaret Cox, and Margie Anderson, both of Independence, Va.; two brothers, Howard Rutherford, of Grassy Creek, N.C., and Robert Rutherford, of Columbus, Ms.; seven grandchildren, Brian, Nathan, Jacob, Laurence, Tom, Chris and Scott; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
