Lula Virginia "Pete" Reed, age 74, of Pecktonville Road, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at NMS Healthcare in Hagerstown, Md.

Born February 18, 1936, in Pecktonville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Amanda L. Mills Reed.

She was a 1954 graduate of Clear Spring High School.

She was retired from Vishay Angstrohm, Maugansville, Md., as an inspector.

She is survived by one son, Gerald D. Reed of Warfordsburg, Pa.; four sisters, Shirley Gordon of Martinsburg, W.Va., Betty Burkett and husband, Jake, of Mansfield, Pa., Nancy Younker and husband, Mike, of Big Pool, Md., Sharon Wisner and husband, Randy, of Trinity, NC.; one brother, Kenneth Reed, of Big Pool, Md.; one grandson; thirteen nieces and nephews; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Reed; and one brother, Charles Reed.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, October 11, at 1:00 p.m., at Parkhead Cemetery, Big Pool, Md.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St. Hancock, Md., Saturday, October 9, 6 to 8 p.m.
