Marguerite Lafaune St. Clair, age 78, of Hancock, died at the home of her daughter, Kimberly, on Sunday, September 21, 2014.
Born March 18, 1936, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Daniel C. and Elva E. Hull McCormick, and the widow of the late Edgar L. St. Clair, who died June 8, 2008.
In her early years, she attended Orchard Ridge First Church of God, in Hancock.
She is survived by five daughters, Bonnie L. Peck, Anita J. Weller, and Kimberly J. Shoemaker, all of Hancock, Norma Jean Neilson and Susan J. Summers, both of Berkeley Springs, W. Va.; daughter–in-law Diane B. St. Clair, of Hancock,; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by one son, Michael St. Clair; one great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Louise Sweeney and Velma Weller.
A service will be held at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Terry Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in the Orchard Ridge First Church of God Cemetery, 13642 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, Md.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, from 10 to 11 a.m.
