Marcella Unger

Marcella Mae Unger, age 85, of Warfordsburg, died Thursday, September 15, 2011, at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va.

Born March 7, 1926, in Hancock, Md., she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mary (Flowers) McCusker.

She was a homemaker and a member of Needmore Bible Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Roscoe Unger, whom she married March 22, 1946, at the Hancock Presbyterian Church; one son, Jerry Lynn Unger, of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers, Jim McCusker, of Panama City, Fl., and D. Doug McCusker, of Carlisle, Pa.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Otis McCusker; and one sister, Darlene Palmer.

A service will be held Monday, September 19, at 11:00 a.m., at the Needmore Bible Church, 6939 Great Cove Road, Needmore, Pa. Rev. Doug Poffenberger will officiate. Burial will be in the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, Md.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Sunday, September 18, 2011, from 4 to 8:00 p.m.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Needmore Bible Church, 6939 Great Cove Road, Needmore, Pa. 17238.
