Margaret Frances Golden

Margaret Frances Golden, age 90, of Greencastle, Pa., passed away Saturday, March 8,2025 at Mercy House Nursing Home, Chambersburg, Pa.

Born Monday, November 5, 1934, in Needmore, Pa she was the daughter of the late Harry and Freda Truax Peck.

Margaret is survived by her children, Cynthia Golden Serra, James Golden, Jr. and Gregory Golden; grandchildren, Frank Peck, Angela Serra Van Hassel and husband Michael, Sabrina Smith husband Bobbie, Whitney Covalt husband Ryan, Jordan Monyhan, Alexandra Baldwin husband Joseph IV and Tyler Golden; great-grandchildren, Aedan Gibson, Conner Gibson, Adelynn Covalt, Lakelynn Covalt, Joelle Baldwin, and Joseph Baldwin V; siblings, Dorothy Hufnagel, Harriet Whitelaw, Catherine Dinnin, and Harry Peck, Jr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over seventy years, James Golden who passed away on Sunday, June12, 2022; siblings Virginia Hird, Bernard Peck, Sandra Tibbs, Donald Peck (Linda).

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday, May 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock Md. 21750. Services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Rob Sheldon will officiate. Burial will follow at Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 12941 Buck Valley Road, Warfordsburg, Pa. 17267.
