Margaret Ella Smith, age71, of Hagerstown , MD., received her wings on Friday, May 21,2010 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown , MD.

Born May 11,1939, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Jennie Morgan Childers and the widow of Fred Leroy Smith, who passed away in 1993.

She was a graduate of Hancock High School. She was a homemaker, mother, and best friend. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.

She is survived by 9 children; Robert Smith, Desiree Smith, Fred Smith Jr., Threaso Smith, Rusty Smith, Melissa King, Billy Smith, Tina Smith and Misty Everly Smith; five sisters, three brothers, seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildern. She was preceded in death by one brother.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Hancock, MD., Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Rev. John Lombardi will be celebrant. Speaker will be Kevin King. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.
