Margaret "Peggy" Cadwalader

Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania

Margaret Ann “Peggy” (Laird) Cadwalader, age 71, entered into eternal rest, at her home, on October 5, 2015.

The daughter of the late William Leslie Laird, Sr., and Catherine Amanda McKenney Laird, Peggy attended West Chester High School, in West Chester, Pa.

She lived in Florida for several years, and retired from the K-Mart store in Winter Haven, Fl., before moving back to Pennsylvania.

She enjoyed doing jigsaw and hidden word puzzles, as well as playing cards with her family and friends.

She is survived by four children, Tina Elizabeth Jones Jewell, of Warfordsburg, Francis Theodore Cadwalader, Jr., of Davenport Fl., husband of Donna Caraway Cadwalader, of Bedford, Pa., Roy Elmer Poe, Jr., of Warfordsburg, and Patricia Ann Cadwalader Barnes, wife of Mark Barnes, of Winter Haven, Fl.; two sisters, Mary Jane Laird Stinson, widow of Gerald F. Stinson, of Pottstown, Pa., and Catherine Amanda Laird Beltran, wife of Angel Luis Beltran, Sr., of West Chester, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by two brothers, William Leslie Laird, Jr., and Francis Taylor Laird.

A celebration of her life, officiated by Rev. Delmas Bard, will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 12:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. Friends and family will be received at the Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
