Mary Elizabeth Keefer, age 84, of Falling Waters, W.Va., passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Williamsport Retirement Center, in Williamsport, Md.

Born Saturday, July 28, 1934, in Hancock, Md., she was the daughter of the late Garfield and Ethel (Coffman) Shifflet; and the widow of Merle William "Whitey" Keefer, whom she married March 12, 1952, and who passed away August 30, 1997.

She was a very loving mother and grandmother.

Mary is survived by seven sons, Raymond O’Rourke, of Hancock, Md., Bernard "Bernnie" Keefer and wife, Carolyn, of Falling Waters, W.Va., Terrance "Terry" Keefer and wife, Debra, of Hancock, Ronald "Ronnie" Keefer and wife, Donna, of Hedgesville, W.Va., Kenneth "Kenny" Keefer and wife, Shannon, of Falling Waters, W.Va., David Keefer and wife, Helene, of Hancock, and Keith Keefer and wife, Lisa, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, William Shifflet, of Hancock.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, in Hancock, on Friday, August 10, 2018, from 6 until 8:00 p.m.  Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the Warfordsburg Presbyterian Cemetery, 12941 Buck Valley Road, in Warfordsburg, Pa.,  Enos Ray will officiate.
