Mary Jane Gordon, age 79, formerly of Williamsport, and more recently of Julia Manor Nursing Home, in Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, February 17, at the Facility.

Born on February 3, 1935, in McConnellsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Roland and Anna Stine, and the widow of William W. Gordon, who passed away on January 13, 2008.

She was employed by the Williamsport Nursing home for 27 years,

She is survived by two daughters, Gloria J. Armstrong, of Big Pool, Md., and Rosetta M. Boden, of Hagerstown, Md.; four sons, William M. Gordon, of Williamsport, Clarence F. Gordon, of Clear Spring, Md., James E. Gordon, of Greencastle, Pa., and Kenneth L. Gordon, of Bedford, Pa.; one sister, Ellen Roland, of York Springs, Pa.; one brother, James Stine, of Gettysburg, Pa.; fifty-three grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Mae Hutton; one sister, Anna Stine; two brothers, Bud Stine and Paul Stine; and two grandchildren, Lynelle Gordon and Richard David Gladhill, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at the Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren, Hollow Road, Hancock, Md. The Rev. Harry Strite will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, on Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Church on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m.
