Mary Frances McPeak, age 85, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at her home.

Born May 23, 1927, in Hancock, Md., she was the daughter of the late Frank “Shorty” and Myrtle T. Brady Jackson, and the widow of James Edward McPeak, who died July 23, 2005.

She was a member of the Chapel of Praise, in Warfordsburg, Pa.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by one daughter, Vivian K. Bernhard, of Needmore, Pa.; one son, G. Scott McPeak, of Warfordsburg; one step-son, James E. Reed, of New Castle, Pa.; grandchildren, Gary Lynn, Jody, and Michael Sheeder, Jenna, Randy, Kevin, Joseph and Miah McPeak; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Victor McPeak, and James McPeak; a sister, Violet Golden, and an infant sister, Clair Ellen Jackson.

A service will be held on Saturday, January 12, at 11:00 a.m., at the Cedar Grove Christian Church, in Warfordsburg, Pa. Rev. Jack Hiles will officiate. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., on Friday, January 11, from 4 to 8 p.m., and at the Church on Saturday, from 10 to 11 a.m.
