Merle Vincent Fritz, age 94, of Mill Drive, died Wednesday June 2, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Born June 13, 1915 in Hancock, Maryland, he was the son of the late Joseph Vincent and Bessie Younker Fritz and the husband of the late Leona Hazel Weller Fritz, who died September 21, 2001, and whom he married July 4, 1936 in Hancock, Maryland

He was a lifetime farmer and a member of the Little Cove First United Methodist Church, Mercersburg, PA.

He is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; Ruth Fritz Hull, Gladys Fritz Brown, two brothers; Willis Fritz and Fluford Fritz.

A service will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, MD. Rev. Frank Kocek will officiate. Burial will be in the Little Cove First United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mercersburg, PA.

The family will receive friends Monday evening 6-8 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, MD.
