Mona L. True, age 82, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at the Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md., after a courageous fight with end-stage kidney failure.
Born January 27, 1938, in Warfordsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Curtis Diehl and Hope Hammond, and the step-daughter of John Hammond, of Hammond’s Longacres Pheasant Farm.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years and eleven months, Jim True; her daughter, Tina Davison and her husband, Danny; her son, James “Skip” True and his wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Matthew Davison, Derek Hoffman, Corey True, Brooke Davison, and Chasity Fink; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly Caldwell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Davison.
Due to the coronavirus restrictions, there will be a private graveside service, at the family’s convenience.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Washington County Dialysis Assistance Fund, 12931 Oak Hill Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. 21742
