Monika Luise McCusker, age 69, of Hancock, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at her home.
Born July 19, 1944, in Bad Warmbrunn, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Gertrud Jentsch Kuhn.
She was a graduate of Immenhausen School in Germany.
She had been employed with Rayloc in Hancock.
She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church in Hancock.
She is survived by her husband, Henry McCusker; one son, Roland McCusker and wife, Laura, of Needmore, Pa.; three daughters, Gabriela Gessner, Michaela Maier and husband, Raymond, all of Germany, and Christina McCusker, of Williamsport, Md.; two sisters; three brothers; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
A service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, 14253 Exline Road, in Hancock. Rev. Philip Unger will officiate. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Church on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock Rescue Squad, 57 East Main Street, Hancock, Md. 21750.
