Myrtle Jane Martin, age 81, of Hancock, died on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.
Born January 3, 1934, in Bobtown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Myrtle Nickler Walters.
She was formerly a cook for Weaver’s Restaurant, in Hancock.
She was a member of the former Black Oak Church, in Warfordsburg, Pa.
She is survived by three daughters, Robbin L. Younker, and Michelle L. Martin, both of Hancock, and Rebecca Walters, of Clear Spring, Md; three sisters, Gladys Shultz, of Connellsville, Pa., Elizabeth Lowry, of Smithfield, Pa., and Shirley Flowers, of Hancock; one brother, Johnny Walters, of Clarkston, Mi.; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Lurch, and Mary Gwynn; five brothers, Dale Schomer, Jerry Walters, Homer Walters, Tommy Walters and Jimmy Walters; and two grandchildren, Larry Iden, Jr., and Bryana L. Bridendolph.
A service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock. Rev. W. Terry Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in the Black Oak Cemetery, Stoneybreak Road, Warfordsburg, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Monday from 1 until 2 p.m.
