Olan William “Bill” Creek, Jr., age 84, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at his home, while under the care of Hospice of Washington County and surrounded by his loved ones.

Born September 15, 1935, at home in Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late Olan William, Sr. and Pearl (Hendershot) Creek.

He attended Hancock schools.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He was retired from Local 486 Steamfitters and Plumbers Union.

He enjoyed working outdoors, cutting wood, listening to country music, and watching classic western movies.

Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Ramona (Walls) Creek; one son, Olan William Creek, III; seven grandchildren, Heather L. Creek, Terra Creek, January Weber and her husband, Chad, Hannah Ritz and her husband, Dakota, Kyra Creek, Billy Creek, and Addison Creek; three great-grandchildren, Taylor (Souders) Valentine and her husband, Nicholas, Laurel Souders, and Olan Lane; and three sisters, Virginia Boor, Clara Sigel, and Mildred Dere.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister in 2019, Rosalie Orr.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, on Friday, December 13, 2019, from 6 until 8:00 p.m., and at the Church one hour prior to the funeral services on Saturday.

Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, 14253 Exline Road, Hancock, Md., at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019. Rev. Philip Unger and Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt, Jr. will officiate.  Interment will follow in the adjoining Church cemetery.
