Palmer Wilson Bennett, 112 Franklin Street, Hancock, MD., age 74, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at his home.
Born Tuesday, February 27, 1951, in Berkeley Springs, WV., he was the son of Palmer Wilson Bennett, Sr. and Nellie I Stanley Bennett.
Palmer was a proud member of the Class of 1969 Hancock High School. He was a lifetime member of Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church and attended Hancock Assembly of God. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, boater, firearm enthusiast, and shooter, a life member of the NRA.
He enjoyed music and loved to sing. He worked thirty-seven and a half years at Fleetwood Travel Trailer of MD., and other jobs. The latest as a park attendant at Camp Harding for Washington County Parks and Recreation.
Palmer is survived by his loving and wonderful wife, Connie; stepson C.J. Barton and wife Amanda; stepdaughter Aimee Punt and husband Christian; grandchildren Cohen J. Barton and Olivia T. Barton.
He is preceded in death by his stepbrother Floyd Bennett; stepsisters Loretta Fletcher and Carissa Myers; and stepdaughter Lindsay L. Barton.
At his request, cremation will take place.
Graveside burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairview Christian Cemetery, Artemas, PA.
